My father was a spider

my mother was a fly

now I’m a secret agent

with wings, eight legs, a SPY!

    I had to read this more than twice,
    I think it must be me!
    I understood the message
    on reading number three.

    The picture that accompanies it
    is really rather sweet;
    a ‘Spy’ that pedals bicycles,
    using all eight feet.

    Cool picture! And I had to read it 2 or 3 times before I truly appreciated it too!!

    Short but sweet. I loved this poem

    Fabulous! The brevity and humour of Edward Lear with a sauciness all your own. Thank you for sharing.
